Berlin er en pulserende by med sterke kontraster, fra det historiske til det moderne og det streite til det utfordrende. Hit kommer kunstnere fra hele verden for å la seg inspirere.

Vi besøker et kunststudio hvor du får tegne akt med en profesjonell modell, og vi opplever arkitektur, historie, lokal streetart og vintagebutikker. I tillegg ser vi et spektakulært show på Friedrichsstadt, verdens største teaterscene og får med oss jazzkonsert på klubben B-Flat.

Venezia er byen med skjønnhet, storslagen arkitektur, kanaler og historie. Vi går ut av turiststien med lokal kunstguide som forteller om Venezias skjulte skatter, krydret med fun facts.

Du blir med på workshop der du lager akvarellmaling fra pulver og maler et Venezia-motiv med disse. Vi tar båten ut til den fargerike og sjarmerende øya Burano, og kanskje er det varmt nok til å bade?

At the very start of the school year, the whole school travels to Glitterheim in Jotunheimen national park. Here we attempt to climb Glittertind, Norway’s second-highest peak at 2452 meters. (Don’t worry, if hiking isn’t your thing, you can choose a shorter trail).

In the evenings we play cards, relax, and quickly get to know each other.

A year without grade pressure

At Elverum folkehøgskole you will get the oportunity to develop as a person, challenge yourself and your values, and form lasting relations. All without the pressure of grades or exams. Choose a year filled with experiences, new friends, opportunities, and activities around the clock – without the pressure of grades. We offer full-year and half-year courses, and our students are on average 19 years old. Most come from Norway, but many also come from Europe and beyond.

More than 30 electives and plenty of activities

In your main subject you can focus on what you love or try something completely new! You can choose from more than 30 electives, and in addition there are student evenings, concerts, handball matches, and much more. There’s always something to join in on!

Perfect location with both nature and city nearby

The school is close to the town center, with a swimming spot and outdoor areas right outside the door. In summer you can play football and volleyball, and in winter we build a rail park in the yard for skiing and snowboarding. You’ll have access to studios, workshops, a gymnasium, fitness room, and great facilities for both creative and practical subjects.

Teachers who see you

Our teachers are passionate about their subjects and provide close follow-up. You are taken seriously, there is always someone on duty if you need help, and we do our best to make sure you thrive. We have a large and inclusive community, with students from all over Norway and many international students each year.
