Opplevelser som gir minner for livet – og fantastiske bilder. Sammen med en kreativ gjeng lærer du proffe fototeknikker som raskt tar bildene dine til nye høyder.

Noen ganger holder det ikke med auto… 

Når du tar kontroll over lukkertid, blender og ISO kan du skape mer enn øyet kan se og auto tillater. Med proffe verktøy som Photoshop, Lightroom og Camera RAW blir det umulige mulig.

På Foto/Opplevelser lærer du kamerateknikk, tips for å fange øyeblikkene, bruke av både naturlig og kunstig lys og digital etterbehandling. Vi jobber også med analog foto og mørkerom.

 

Gode opplevelser gir gode bilder

Året er veldig sosialt, og sammen reiser vi på studieturer til Budapest og København der vi skal prøve nye fototeknikker, vandre gatelangs med kameraet, se utstillinger, spise god mat og kjenne at vi lever.

Opplevelsene skal gi deg sterke inntrykk, kunnskap, erfaring, mestring og minner for livet – sammen med andre unge fotointeresserte. Kameraet er selvfølgelig alltid med.

 

«Alle» trenger godt innhold

Bedrifter er helt avhengige av godt, effektivt foto- og filminnhold. Du lærer å tilpasse innhold til ulike sosiale medier, strategier for å bygge en profil og hvordan klippe film.

 

Opplev bredden i fotofaget

På fotolinja skal du få prøve mye. Mange teknikker, mange locations, mye utstyr og ulike opplevelser. På den måten får du utforske hva det er du liker å jobbe med.

At the very start of the school year, the whole school travels to Glitterheim in Jotunheimen national park. Here we attempt to climb Glittertind, Norway’s second-highest peak at 2452 meters. (Don’t worry, if hiking isn’t your thing, you can choose a shorter trail).

In the evenings we play cards, relax, and quickly get to know each other.

Admission requirements

Applicants must be 18 years old at the start of the school year or turn 18 during the school year. There are no other specific admission requirements.

Priority criteria

  • Applicants who are 18 years old at the start of the school year or turn 18 during the school year.
  • Applicants residing in Norway and former students applying for readmission.
  • Applicants residing in the EU, EEA or the United Kingdom.
  • 10% of the school's maximum capacity is reserved for international applicants.

Admission process

  1. Submit your application

    You can apply for admission from 1 October in the year before your intended start. This applies to all Norwegian folk high schools.

    There is no application deadline, but we recommend applying early, as some courses may receive more applications than there are places available.

  2. Admissions begin – offers are sent out

    You will start receiving responses to applications from 15 November. This date is the same for all Norwegian folk high schools. If you apply after 15 November, your application will be processed on a rolling basis.

  3. Accept your offer

    We need you to respond to your offer, and we naturally hope you'll accept your place! You can confirm your acceptance by email or SMS. You have 14 days to respond.

  4. Your place is confirmed

    Once you have received an offer, accepted it and paid the enrolment fee, your place at the school is secured.

A year without grade pressure

At Elverum folkehøgskole you will get the oportunity to develop as a person, challenge yourself and your values, and form lasting relations. All without the pressure of grades or exams. Choose a year filled with experiences, new friends, opportunities, and activities around the clock – without the pressure of grades. We offer full-year and half-year courses, and our students are on average 19 years old. Most come from Norway, but many also come from Europe and beyond.

More than 30 electives and plenty of activities

In your main subject you can focus on what you love or try something completely new! You can choose from more than 30 electives, and in addition there are student evenings, concerts, handball matches, and much more. There’s always something to join in on!

Perfect location with both nature and city nearby

The school is close to the town center, with a swimming spot and outdoor areas right outside the door. In summer you can play football and volleyball, and in winter we build a rail park in the yard for skiing and snowboarding. You’ll have access to studios, workshops, a gymnasium, fitness room, and great facilities for both creative and practical subjects.

Our teachers are passionate about their subjects and provide close follow-up. You are taken seriously, there is always someone on duty if you need help, and we do our best to make sure you thrive. We have a large and inclusive community, with students from all over Norway and many international students each year.
