Experiences that provide lifelong memories – and amazing photos. Together with a creative team, you will learn professional photography techniques that quickly take your photos to new heights.

Sometimes auto isn`t the answer...

When you take control of shutter speed, aperture and ISO, you can create more than the eye can see and auto allow. With pro-grade tools like Photoshop, Lightroom, and Camera RAW, the impossible becomes possible.

At Photo/Experiences you will learn camera techniques, tips for capturing moments, use of both natural and artificial light and digital post-processing. We also work with analogue photography and darkroom.

Good experiences make for good photos

The year is very social, and together we go on study trips to Budapest and Copenhagen where we will try new photography techniques, walk the streets with our camera, see exhibitions, eat good food and feel that we are alive.

The experiences will give you strong impressions, knowledge, experience, mastery and memories for life – together with other young photography enthusiasts. Of course, the camera is always with you.

 "Everyone" needs good content

Businesses are completely dependent on good, effective photo and film content. You will learn how to adapt content to different social media, strategies for building a profile and how to cut a film.

Experience the breadth of photography

On the photo line you will get to try a lot. Many techniques, many locations, a lot of equipment and different experiences. That way, you get to explore what it is you like to work on.

Budapest har alt fra moderne glassfasader til slitne bakgater, bra kollektivtransport, monumenter, vintagebutikker og spa-bad! Du får spektakulær utsikt over det hele fra slottet «Fishermans Bastion» og kommer deg raskt rundt med metro, buss og trikk.

Foto og Musikk reiser sammen og vi henter inspirasjon fra hverandres fag. Vi ser flere utstillinger, blant annet verdens beste pressebilder på World Press Photo og opplever jazz-musikk i verdensklasse på Budapest Jazz Club.

I tillegg er Budapest kjent for ruinpuber, og på «Szimpla Kert» er det konserter hver kveld. Rett bortenfor ligger Soos foto – en vintage fotobutikk med masse analogt utstyr.

Før jul besøker vi København. En by som har alt man kan ønske av severdigheter og storbyliv. Du får oppleve Tivoli, Nyhavn, nattfoto, kanalbåt, arkitektur, alternative Cristiania, is med flødebolle og mye mer.

At the folk high school, you can study almost anything – from arts to extreme sports, and everything in-between. The goal is what’s in Norwegian called "danning". A good translation might be "formation".

You will get the oportunity to develop, challenge yourself and your values, and form lasting relations. All without the pressure of grades or exams.

We offer full-year courses, half-year course fall and half-year course spring, and our students average at the age of 19. The majority comes from Nor­way, but many others come from Europe and beyond.
