Become a better musician, go on tour, and experience Europe!

Practice, write, record, play. Repeat.

We focus on developing your instrument and vocal skills through ensemble work. You play both covers and original music in different band setups or vocal groups, and we hold concerts throughout the year.

Live shows

We will play an acoustic concert at the foot of Glittertind, a rock concert for thousands of children at a charity event, a VIP concert at a film festival, a Christmas concert, intimate house concerts with reworked covers, shows at upper secondary schools, on tour, and at venues in Elverum.

Festival gig?

Each summer, the festival Elvebris is held at the school, featuring well-known Norwegian and international artists. As a student on Music – Band/Vocal, you may get the chance to play, through a selection program led by teacher Arild Sveum.

Mentor days

Professional musicians give lessons on your main instrument through workshops and one-to-one teaching.

Studio and theory

You have free access to the school’s recording studio. You learn to record, mix, and master your own music, and you learn basic music theory useful for all musicians.

You will learn:

• Band ensemble
• Vocal technique
• Composition/arranging
• Concerts/tour work
• Studio work in Cubase and FL Studio
• Music theory
• Festival production
• Practice methods
• Light and sound rigging + design

Applicants should be able to play an instrument, sing, or work with music programming on a computer.
