Are you making music? Interested in how to record, mix, and master your own songs? Take a year with us at music production and you'll learn how to produce, polish, promote and perform your music live!

Music production is the line for you who love making music!

Whether you are just getting started or more experienced - it doesn't matter.

We work the entire process from idea until the song is completed. With the best equipment and skilled teachers, everything is ready for you, to find and create your own sound.

We also think business, and you will learn about marketing, how to end on Spotify playlists and book your own gigs!

In our lessons, we give you the tools for planning your own workday and what you want to achieve.

The teacher always has creative challenges in store, constructive feedback, theory or techniques to show you if you are "stuck" with your songs.

 

“What equipment do I need?”

- Nothing! We have everything! You'll be assigned your own studio mac, headset, keyboard and the industry's best plugins from day one.

We also have instruments and rehearsal facilities. Do you want to play in a band or guest one of the other lines?

- We will try to make it happen.

 

You can both immerse yourself on your own and be creative with others.

Sitting down with the class, in a collective of inspiring, creative producers and musicians, is absolutely magical.

Here we make the best music and the best memories together.

Maybe you and your new best friend will be playing at Tomorrowland in 5 years?

Gigging at a festival? Topping the charts on Spotify? Do you run your own record label?

 

The possibilities might be endless.

Kreativ fornøyelse på Lovund

Om høsten drar vi til fantastiske Lovund, som er et lite øysamfunn ute i havgapet på Helgeland. Det er lett å la seg lure når man søker opp Lovund på Google! Her drar vi ikke bare for å titte på helt sinnsyk natur med fugler og laks – men vi drar hit for å oppleve et kreativt lokalsamfunn helt uten sidestykke.

Vi samarbeider tett med “Ctrl Makerspace", som er et kreativt/teknologisk samlingssted, hvor innbyggerne kan utfolde seg fritt i alle mulige kreative retninger. De har alt! 3D printere, Laser-kuttere, symaskiner, podcast/recording rom, E-sport klubb, Virtual Reality, Lego-robot, Fotostudio, Bandrom +++.

Målet med turen er å “bryte de etablerte rutinene våre” når det kommer til å lage musikk. På høsten fokuserer vi på å komme i gang med å lage musikk, og da er det ekstremt forfriskende å bryte seg løs fra etablerte mønstre. Og med dagens teknologi kan du jo tilsynelatende lage musikk hvor som helst!

Vi bor i egne hytter, som vi rigger om til små studioer – og så henger vi her noen dager og fokuserer skikkelig på å skape nye uttrykk, skrive nye tekster, nye beats, ta opp nye lyder, spille inn instrumenter og utfolde oss så kreativt vi kan. Vi “logger av” maset fra mobilen og samfunnet for øvrig, og så “logger vi oss på” den kreative prosessen med å skrive musikk og tekst.

Det du får her ute på øya langt ute i havgapet, er en helt unik opplevelse som er vanskelig å beskrive med ord. Den må rett og slett bare oppleves!

London og Berlin

London er Europas hovedstad når det kommer til opplevelser innen musikk og kultur.
I denne multikulturelle storbyen besøker vi studioer, konserter og får masterclasses/workshops med kjente musikere eller produsenter. Målet er å oppleve så mye forskjellig kultur og musikk som mulig! Du har kanskje vært i London før?  Nå har du muligheten til å oppleve byen på nytt sammen med dine nye produsentvenner.

Klassen er med på planleggingen, da blir innholdet aller best. Velg mellom alt fra høykulturelle konserter og musicals som virkelig inspirerer, work-shops, spise karibisk mat, Escape rooms, sushi-kurs, trampolineparker, shoppe på markeder der de har alt og mye mer!

Det er kanskje ikke kjent for alle, men Berlin er der det skjer innen musikkteknologi og musikkproduksjon! På selve fødestedet til elektronisk musikk, Techno, Ableton, Soundcloud, Native Instruments, Beatport og mye mer – passer vi på å oppdatere oss innen det absolutt nyeste av det nyeste. Vi drar på messer, på workshops, i studioer og gigantiske musikk butikker av alle slag! Her i byen besøker vi også noen av de mest prestisjefylte utdanningene av musikkproduksjon og lignende på høyere nivå. Alt kreativt, nyskapende og revolusjonerende innen musikkteknologi og musikkproduksjon – har sitt opphav fra eller hovedkontor i Berlin, og bare atmosfæren i seg selv er inspirerende.
Du drar hjem igjen med bagasjen stappfull av gode minner og motivasjon til å virkelig finpolere ditt musikalske uttrykk til det ypperste.

Towards the end of the school year, we take you on an adventure trip to The coast of Helgeland, also called the world's most beautiful archipelago. You can't have been in Helgeland for so long without getting this! We aim for several attractions on the trip, hopefully to end up at Træna. Træna is an island municipality 33 nautical miles off the coast of Helgeland. There has been settlement here ever since the Stone Age, 9,000 years ago. This wonderful island municipality that is flourishing like never before. You may have heard of Trænafestivalen?

On 15.2 km² you will meet the people of the sea. They count 453 people, and have an entrepreneurial mentality that you have never seen. You will have the opportunity to have a milkshake at Aloha café, drink Helgeland's best cappuccino at Træna Kaffekollektiv and eat a delicious dinner at Havfolkets hus. You will have the opportunity to sing together in Kirkehelleren, walk up to the NATO station at Gompen or walk the love path around the mountains at Sanna. If you want to go fishing or sit in the sauna at the boathouse, this is also an option. Or perhaps you would like to visit the Petter Dass chapel, which was decorated by the artist Karl Erik Harr? It's just a lot to look forward to!

Vefsn Folkehøgskole TOPPEN is an active and creative school, placed on the top of a hill on the outskirts of Mosjøen in the middle of Norway. But still far enough up north that the northern lights dance across the sky regularly during the winther.
