Do you want to learn river kayaking and experience the wild nature of northern Norway? Then the half-year course Mountain Sports and Whitewater Kayaking is for you.

This is the line for you who need a little more action than average. With one of Northern Norway's best starting points for nature experiences, the opportunities are lined up for us.

Our goal is for you to have challenges and experiences during the year, and that you can grow as a person. The content of the line is adapted to your individual level, and the most important thing is that you are motivated. Then together we can create good memories, break boundaries, invent things together and enjoy the northern Norwegian nature to the fullest.

Mosjøen is located in the middle between world-class rivers and sea kayaking areas. With over 30,000 islands, islets and reefs, it is no wonder that the Helgeland coast is constantly mentioned as one of the world's most beautiful paddle pearls. In addition, world-famous paddle rivers flow out right next to the school, and we collaborate with River North in the neighboring municipality of Grane. In your free time you can borrow the school's new sea kayaks and go on your own trips on the weekends

During the autumn we go on a study trip to Lofoten. With its majestic nature and limitless hiking opportunities, it is a perfect destination that many people have on their bucket list.

 

You can try surfing in the most spectacular surroundings at Unstad/Flakstad, kayaking in the sea around mighty mountains and go on mountain hikes you will remember for a long time. Simply taking in the wonderful nature Lofoten has to offer is an experience in itself. This is a trip that offers some of the most unique places we have in the Norway, which everyone should get to experience.

Vefsn Folkehøgskole TOPPEN is an active and creative school, placed on the top of a hill on the outskirts of Mosjøen in the middle of Norway. But still far enough up north that the northern lights dance across the sky regularly during the winther.
