Do you want to spend a year enjoying music, playing with others and having lots of fun? Here you get to explore your talent, without performance pressure. And maybe you're more talented than you know?

This is the line for you who want to explore the music within you. For those who like to play or sing and who think that music is important. For those who want to have fun with music without the pressure. Perhaps you have always been singing and listening to music? Maybe you took lessons on an instrument when you were younger? Are you wondering where the joy of music got lost? On this line, you have the opportunity to explore what you can achieve, and get guidance from great teachers who want all the best for you. And not least, a study trip to magical Gambia!

We want to make sure that you have a safe environment, and dare to try whatever you want. We believe that its a lot of talent out there that hasn't been allowed to shine yet, and there could be many reasons for that. On this line, you can primarily spend time testing exploring, developing and enjoying yourself with the other students.

You will receive guidance on your instrument and your personal style, so that you can explore and develop in the direction that suits you best.

We will focus on:

We collaborate across lines, especially with Music Production, Creative MIX and Acting. There will also be opportunities to do projects in the studio, play more concerts and go on tour during the year.

Experience genuine England, from small villages to bustling city life. On this round trip, we travel by train, and get to see more than just shopping streets in London. We get to experience much of what the exciting country has to offer, and which you are unlikely to have been part of before.

In London we hunt for the big artists, the small underground concerts, the intimate concerts and try to bring as much variety as possible.

Towards the end of the school year, we take you on an adventure trip to The coast of Helgeland, also called the world's most beautiful archipelago. You can't have been in Helgeland for so long without getting this! We aim for several attractions on the trip, hopefully to end up at Træna. Træna is an island municipality 33 nautical miles off the coast of Helgeland. There has been settlement here ever since the Stone Age, 9,000 years ago. This wonderful island municipality that is flourishing like never before. You may have heard of Trænafestivalen?

On 15.2 km² you will meet the people of the sea. They count 453 people, and have an entrepreneurial mentality that you have never seen. You will have the opportunity to have a milkshake at Aloha café, drink Helgeland's best cappuccino at Træna Kaffekollektiv and eat a delicious dinner at Havfolkets hus. You will have the opportunity to sing together in Kirkehelleren, walk up to the NATO station at Gompen or walk the love path around the mountains at Sanna. If you want to go fishing or sit in the sauna at the boathouse, this is also an option. Or perhaps you would like to visit the Petter Dass chapel, which was decorated by the artist Karl Erik Harr? It's just a lot to look forward to!

Vefsn Folkehøgskole TOPPEN is an active and creative school, placed on the top of a hill on the outskirts of Mosjøen in the middle of Norway. But still far enough up north that the northern lights dance across the sky regularly during the winther.
