Do you like to be active? In sports and outdoor activities, we are inside and outside, high and low. With us you will get an active and varied everyday life with lots of fun and new experiences every

Sports and outdoor activities is a line that is perfect for those who want to do more than just one thing. Helgeland is a fantastic area for hiking and outdoor activities, while at the same time you get to do many different sports. Here we have a lot to offer, and you are free to choose based on your own interests.

Facilities

The school has its own gymnasium, well-equipped gym, martial arts room and artificial turf pitch in the immediate vicinity of the school. In addition, we use Kippermoen Idrettsannlegg, one of Norway's finest training facilities with indoor football hall, sports hall, aerobics / dance hall, spinning hall, squash courts, climbing wall etc. The facility also has a fitness center and swimming / swimming facilities that you can use freely and whenever it suits you.

Helgelandskysten – Tour of Helgeland

Duration: 4 dager

Island hopping on the Helgeland coast will be a trip you will never forget. Enjoy life, nature and the sea. Keywords for the trip: Deep sea fishing in the archipelago at Herøy. We visit the World Heritage Site Vega incl. "Vegatrappa". We take the trip through Torghatthullet. The summit hike up Dønnamann and/or "7-sisters" is amazing. It's just to rejoice.

Lofoten - Opplevelsestur

Mandatory: Yes

Duration: 5 dager

Here you can see the coast of Helgeland and Lofoten from Hurtigruta on the way north. In Lofoten, the experiences are queued up, and you can choose activities based on interest in the group. Mountain walks, kayaking, football on the pitch in Henningsvær, surfing, sightseeing, museum visits and café trips have been popular. Guaranteed a trip you won't soon forget!

Ski og alpintur til Sverige

Mandatory: Yes

Duration: 3 dager

Outdoor life EASY, Sports and outdoor life and Mountain sports and Kayaking go on a joint trip to Hemavan/Tärnaby in Sweden in the winter. These two ski resorts are close and just over the Swedish border, a two hours drive from Mosjøen. Here we frolic in good snow conditions, nice trails and backcountry opportunities. We stay in apartments together right next to the hill. If you don't like driving downhill, we have alternative activities.

  • Training in Snowboard, Telemark and Slalom (not mandatory)
  • One ski pass – two ski resorts
  • Ski in-ski out

Treningsopphold på Club La Santa, Lanzarote

Sports and Outdoor life go on a training stay to Lanzarote - at Club La Santa. Here you will have a wonderful stay, with opportunities to try varied group lessons, trips and various sports. The place is also perfectly located for nice trips on foot and by bike. The combination of sun, heat, beach life and exercise makes this trip one of the highlights of the school year.

Towards the end of the school year, we take you on an adventure trip to The coast of Helgeland, also called the world's most beautiful archipelago. You can't have been in Helgeland for so long without getting this! We aim for several attractions on the trip, hopefully to end up at Træna. Træna is an island municipality 33 nautical miles off the coast of Helgeland. There has been settlement here ever since the Stone Age, 9,000 years ago. This wonderful island municipality that is flourishing like never before. You may have heard of Trænafestivalen?

On 15.2 km² you will meet the people of the sea. They count 453 people, and have an entrepreneurial mentality that you have never seen. You will have the opportunity to have a milkshake at Aloha café, drink Helgeland's best cappuccino at Træna Kaffekollektiv and eat a delicious dinner at Havfolkets hus. You will have the opportunity to sing together in Kirkehelleren, walk up to the NATO station at Gompen or walk the love path around the mountains at Sanna. If you want to go fishing or sit in the sauna at the boathouse, this is also an option. Or perhaps you would like to visit the Petter Dass chapel, which was decorated by the artist Karl Erik Harr? It's just a lot to look forward to!

Vefsn Folkehøgskole TOPPEN is an active and creative school, placed on the top of a hill on the outskirts of Mosjøen in the middle of Norway. But still far enough up north that the northern lights dance across the sky regularly during the winther.
