For those who feel at home with creative subjects. Is versatile, likes different things and thinks it might be boring to choose just one subject. For you who want to find out more about yourself.

POSSIBILITIES

At Creative MIX you get the opportunity to participate in many exciting things throughout the year. You get to develop with creative and fun projects, and test everything from redesign and theater, to painting and photography. This line gives you many experiences that allow you to learn a lot about yourself and the others. At Creative MIX it is just a big plus that people are different and have different backgrounds and interests. Here you can find out what you like, test out new things, and expand the horizon.

We are setting up a creative workshop, and you will choose some of the content yourself:

COPING

We believe that people learn the most in an environment that gives you the opportunity to test things out and make your own experiences. We are more interested in facilitating good experiences, and asking some questions, than always having the right answer. 

ORGANIZATION

At Creative MIX, we work practically and project-based. The projects vary in length, form and content according to the themes we are working on. Sometimes we have a Workshop that lasts for three days, other periods last for three weeks. If you want to work on a self-selected project, it is possible.

We are heading to the Algarve coastline in beautiful Portugal, where our line teacher Lovise knows the area well. With Armação de Pêra as our starting point, we can pick and choose cultural and nature experiences. You can see a suggestion for the program for the trip below, which can of course be adapted based on the wishes of the class. Here, everyone has the opportunity to involve themselves in planning the trip. And that it will be a trip with mixed content - that's for sure!

 

On this trip to Portugal, you will get sun, outdoor activities, creative courses, experience culture and lots of good food. Pick your own oranges when we visit one of the orchards, where we also get to see how they live. You get a ceramics course in a country with a long tradition of using clay. In addition, we will experience local art and castles from the year 716.

We can do Paddle trip with SUP (stand up paddle board) to beautiful caves. Together with a guide, we paddle along the shore and into caves with internal beaches. You get really close to nature and the water, and the paddle board takes you places you wouldn't otherwise have been able to experience. The Algarve coast offers good opportunities to try surfing. There are opportunities to take part in surfing lessons and try out the waves along the beautiful coast. And for sure there will be morning yoga outside in the beautiful harbor town of Armação de Pêra.

Towards the end of the school year, we take you on an adventure trip to The coast of Helgeland, also called the world's most beautiful archipelago. You can't have been in Helgeland for so long without getting this! We aim for several attractions on the trip, hopefully to end up at Træna. Træna is an island municipality 33 nautical miles off the coast of Helgeland. There has been settlement here ever since the Stone Age, 9,000 years ago. This wonderful island municipality that is flourishing like never before. You may have heard of Trænafestivalen?

On 15.2 km² you will meet the people of the sea. They count 453 people, and have an entrepreneurial mentality that you have never seen. You will have the opportunity to have a milkshake at Aloha café, drink Helgeland's best cappuccino at Træna Kaffekollektiv and eat a delicious dinner at Havfolkets hus. You will have the opportunity to sing together in Kirkehelleren, walk up to the NATO station at Gompen or walk the love path around the mountains at Sanna. If you want to go fishing or sit in the sauna at the boathouse, this is also an option. Or perhaps you would like to visit the Petter Dass chapel, which was decorated by the artist Karl Erik Harr? It's just a lot to look forward to!

Vefsn Folkehøgskole TOPPEN is an active and creative school, placed on the top of a hill on the outskirts of Mosjøen in the middle of Norway. But still far enough up north that the northern lights dance across the sky regularly during the winther.
