På Foto & Kortfilm er det praktisk, kreativt og skapande arbeid som står i sentrum. Med støtte frå erfarne og prisvinnande lærarar får du realisert dei kreative ideane og prosjekta dine. Du får møte anerkjende gjestelærarar frå bransjen, og gjennom utforsking og eksperimentering utviklar du deg til å bli ein sjølvstendig filmskapar og fotograf.

Reiser på studietur til Gøteborg Filmfestival i februar for fagleg påfyll og inspirasjon.

Brukar årskortet i skianlegget og prøver spennande aktivitetar som rafting og vindtunnel.

Gøteborg Film Festival er Nordens ledende filmfestival med både internasjonale spillefilmer og kortfilmer på programmet. Vi reiser til Gøteborg i februar for å finne inspirasjon og for å få en pause i eget arbeid med kortfilmer til Amandusfestivalen. En perfekt avveksling fra klasserommet til fantastiske Gøteborg, en by full av ustillinger, konserter, foodtrucks og vintagebutikker.
Telttur & båttur i Nærøyfjorden

Hver vår nyter vi de første nydelige vårdagene i Nærøyfjorden. Norges mest ikoniske UNESCO-verdsarvstad! Kun 45 minutter fra Voss Folkehøgskule. Fotografi & Kortfilm og Data & friluftsliv dreg samen på turen.
Vi camper i en ramme av stupbratte, snødekte fjell, ville fossefall og levande kulturlandskap. Vi koser oss rundt bålet med god mat, bader og går tur langs postvegen. Ikke minst er det fint å finne roen sammen etter et aktivt år. Data & friluftsliv padlar havkajak til leiren, medan Fotografi & Kortfilm tek båt. Denne turen vil garantert gje deg minne for livet og ein heilt unik oppleving av Noregs natur. Det er balsam for sjela å møte våren i dette landskapet i lag med gode venner.
Stølstur til Upsete

The school has a lovely old mountain cabin beautifully situated along the Bergen Railway, just before Upsete Station.
During the second week of the school year, the entire school travels up to the mountain cabin. The trip is designed to suit everyone—some go on long hikes in the mountains, while others fish, swim, build campfires, or play guitar outside the cabin.
This trip is an incredible opportunity to strengthen the sense of community at the school. We start the school year with a shared experience in some of the most beautiful nature Norway has to offer. It’s also a great opportunity to get to know fellow students, teachers, and other school staff better.

School trip to Hardanger

At the end of the school year, we are going on a fantastic trip to Hardanger. We will spend the night in beautiful Rosendal, and during the trip there will be lots of cool activities for you to join in. We will go to Norway's only barony and get a tour of the old castle, we will try our hand at putball (football golf), go on mountain hikes, and swim in both fjords and mountain lakes. On the way home, we will visit the fantastic Bondhusvatnet, one of the most photographed natural areas in Western Norway. When a folk high school year comes to an end, it is extra nice to share such experiences with friends from the whole school. We travel a lot with the lines during the school year, and therefore it is especially nice to be the whole group of students together on this trip.
Voss Folk High School is an active and creative environment. There are great opportunities for personal growth and immersion in subjects of interest. The school emphasizes the traditions of local and Norwegian culture, the process of acquiring wisdom, and expression of opinion. The school has eight major courses: Music and Outdoor life, Sports and Outdoor Life, Film and Photography, Computing, Computing and Outdoor life, and three different Extremesport classes. Major course activities are an important part of everyday school life.
