Berlin is a city that never stands still—one of Europe’s key hubs for music, technology, and creative innovation. On this study trip, you will experience a unique blend of professional development and the city’s vibrant cultural scene.
Thanks to our partnership with Ableton, we are warmly welcomed at their headquarters. Here, we receive an exclusive tour and gain insight into the development of the software that has revolutionized modern music production. The connections made here form a network that can benefit you throughout your career.
At Schneidersladen, we attend workshops on modular and analog synthesis—an experience that offers hands-on practice and inspiration for our own productions and music. We also visit concerts and club nights, ranging from techno and electronica to indie bands and classical ensembles—experiencing everything that makes Berlin a global music metropolis. Occasionally, we also attend masterclasses with various artists and producers.
To understand why Berlin has become a hub for creative technology, it is essential to grasp its history. Through guided bike tours, museum visits, and city walks, we experience the city's dramatic and diverse history firsthand.
All of this combines to create a study trip that fosters professional growth while providing a deeper understanding of how culture, history, and technology shape the music we create today.

Der Berlin gir oss puls, teknologi, storbyliv og faglig inspirasjon - ønsker vi å skape en kontrast med reisen vår til Japan.
Dette er et land som inviterer oss til å roe ned tempoet og utforske personlig utvikling, en sjanse til å senke skuldrene i mange kulturelle møter og minnerike opplevelser.
Japan gir oss en unik kombinasjon av kultur, natur og tradisjon. Velger vi å reise til Kyoto, får vi oppleve zen-hager, eldgamle templer og tradisjonelle kunstformer i et rolig og historisk miljø. Reiser vi til Okinawa, møter vi tropiske øyer, et helt eget levesett og karate som både kulturarv og livsfilosofi. Uansett reisemål blir vi invitert inn i en kultur som setter balanse, disiplin og tilstedeværelse i sentrum.
Gjennom opplevelser som mindfulness, meditasjon, kampsport, kunst, tradisjonell musikk og kulinariske møter får du som elev sjansen til å utforske ikke bare nye omgivelser – men også deg selv.
Her handler det om å åpne opp kreativiteten, finne ro, og la deg inspirere av en kultur som i hundrevis av år har kombinert det estetiske med det spirituelle.

Music, culture, and big-city life in one of the world’s most important music cities
London is a vibrant global metropolis where people mingle amidst music, food, art, and culture. On our study trip, you get to experience the city at its absolute best! If you’ve been to London before, you know it has just about everything.
We have been traveling here for over a decade and know the city so well that it has become our "second classroom"!
We attend concerts at both large arenas and small, intimate clubs, explore the city’s countless music scenes, and experience the immense diversity that makes London one of the world’s most important music cities.
In the past, we have held workshops at Abbey Road Studios, among other venues, and whenever the opportunity arises, we meet musicians, producers, and other industry professionals through workshops and masterclasses.
Diversity and versatility are important to us—they form the foundation of our study trip. We see West End musicals, catch a jazz concert at Ronnie Scott’s and a metal show in Camden, visit galleries, museums, and historical sites, sample the city’s vast array of food, and fill our days with a wide variety of experiences.
Between the academic activities, there is also time for things like escape rooms, laser tag, shopping, and other fun activities!
London offers us a unique opportunity to experience how music, art, culture, and people influence one another!
The liberal folk high schools are built on values that are not based on one particular belief. They encourage students with different interests and beliefs to apply.
