The Gaming line at Toppen is for those of you who see gaming as a hobby, a passion and a way to relax.
Here you get plenty of time to play the games you love, whether it's single-player, co-op games with friends, epic stories like in Baldur's Gate, nerve-wracking moments in Dark Souls, or the freedom to explore in GTA.
In addition, you get a unique insight into what makes games so great. We travel together to Dreamhack, one of the largest gamer fairs in the Nordics. There, the industry comes and shows off the very latest. We are especially looking forward to the EXPO and the LAN part of the fair where we get to test upcoming games. We also get access to seminars and lectures during Dreamhack.
And of course. It's also not a bad thing that you get to travel to South Korea and experience the mecca of esports.

Artister, cosplay, EXPO, ESPORT, musikk, LAN og BYOC. Bli med oss til Stockholm på nordens beste gamer event. Her møter vi innholds skapere, ser på esports turneringer (2025: OW, The Finals, CS2), drar på konserter, spill- lanseringer og foredrag ut fra vår egen interesse.
Det blir en sosial tur, vi bor sammen på vandrerhjem ikke langt fra både Stockholm sentrum og arenaen der messen holdes. Vi spiser ute sammen og får mange fine opplevelser sammen. Vi kjøper tilgang til LAN /BYOC området. Dere kan enten ta med eget utstyr, eller booke PC`r fra GameEffect som arrangøren samarbeider med.
I 2025 hadde Dreamhack OWCS World Finals, og vi er spente på hvilket toppnivå turnering som venter oss i 2026. Men bra, det vet vi det blir!
Tidligere har det også vært flere konkurranser der dere kan spille om fete premiepotter i f.eks Fortnite ($ 25 k). Dreamhack er en enorm opplevelse, og bringer gamermiljøene sammen. Messen er full av eksklusive varer, samler 300 utstillere, og flere spill lanserer beta-versjoner som ikke før er vist.
På Dreamhack er det også mange konserter og kulturarrangementer, og vi skal sammen se hvor mye av dette vi klarer å få med oss gjennom de tre dagene arrangementet varer.

Esports in South Korea is like cross-country skiing in Norway. With national broadcasts on public television for almost 20 years. They have a players academy with state support and were the first to consider esports an official job back in year 2000. Since 1960, they have organized major TV/PC gaming tournaments.
In the late 90s, the country decided to upgrade internet access for the population. This led to a boom in internetcafes where young people could play for an hour for free, hang out with friends and compete. Today there are over 25,000 so-called PC Bangs! The availability and absence of stigma led to what we know today as the mecca of esports.

Towards the end of the school year, we take you on an adventure trip to The coast of Helgeland, also called the world's most beautiful archipelago. You can't have been in Helgeland for so long without getting this! We aim for several attractions on the trip, hopefully to end up at Træna. Træna is an island municipality 33 nautical miles off the coast of Helgeland. There has been settlement here ever since the Stone Age, 9,000 years ago. This wonderful island municipality that is flourishing like never before. You may have heard of Trænafestivalen.
On 15.2 km² you will meet the people of the sea. They count 453 people, and have an entrepreneurial mentality that you have never seen. You will have the opportunity to have a milkshake at Aloha café, drink Helgeland's best cappuccino at Træna Kaffekollektiv and eat a delicious dinner at Havfolkets hus. You will have the opportunity to sing together in Kirkehelleren, walk up to the NATO station at Gompen or walk the love path around the mountains at Sanna. If you want to go fishing or sit in the sauna at the boathouse, this is also an option. Or perhaps you would like to visit the Petter Dass chapel, which was decorated by the artist Karl Erik Harr It's just a lot to look forward to!
E-sport / Gaming
For those who enjoy playing and competing in games. We explore popular titles like Tekken, FIFA and Mario Kart, and create a social environment. If you have your own equipment, you can also spend time playing PC games.
Vefsn Folkehøgskole TOPPEN is an active and creative school, placed on the top of a hill on the outskirts of Mosjøen in the middle of Norway. But still far enough up north that the northern lights dance across the sky regularly during the winther.
