Search for your own expression. Learn different technics. Explore different perceptions and craft traditions, in school or out traveling. 24-7. Well equipped, well lit and rather spacious.

We enjoy experimenting with a great variety of materials, and you develop your understanding and working techincs accordingly. Troughout the year we will run prodjects in the ceramic workshop as well as drawing, painting and printmaking in our studio/classroom. We engage in wittling and soapstone sculpture and are doing modelling works in clay and plaster. In our studio we have a large printmaking press, for working in lino- or wood-cut, drypoint and etching. You get your own starter-pack for running your prodjects as well as a lot of shared equippment and materials. We present our work in exhibitions in school regularly and locally, in our nearby community center. We sometimes get visiting artist running prodjects with us and we visit different arenas for professional exhibitons, such as Kunst Silo, Kristiansand Kunsthallen and Galleri B-Z. during the year we aim to work on different prodjects with students from other classes such as; animation with the Film class, colour yarn with natural pigments with the Biology class, travel to Ryvingen Fyr and Oslo with the NLC class, Photo-transfere on to non artistic materials with Friluftsliv class, to name a few. Our studio is a nice hangout for other students out of class hours and a good place to stay to continue your artistic prosesses into the late evening.

In our ceramic workshop you have the chance to improve your trowing-skills at one of our two turning-tables. Or engage in modelling large scale sculpture free hand.
