Toten Folkehøgskole is located near Gjøvik and the lake Mjøsa, not far from the Olympic city Lillehammer. We welcome English-speaking students who wants to learn Norwegian and follow a main-course.
If you are an international student and do not speak Norwegian, you will apply through Hello Norway. Hello Norway is our framework that provides language and cultural support for all non-Norwegian speaking students at Toten Folk High School.
To join the school, you will choose three components when you apply:
Hello Norway – this is mandatory for all students who do not speak Norwegian.
A Main Line (Hovedlinje A as your second choice ) – your primary focus for the year.
A Themed Elective (Hovedlinje B) – an additional subject area you will explore during the school year.
Together, these three elements create a full-year program where you will learn Norwegian language and culture while taking part in your chosen field of interest.
If you have questions about the application process or need guidance choosing the right combination, we are happy to help. All foreign students must use the english application form.
