I november er det studieturperiode på Nordvestlandet folkehøgskole. Da kan du velge blant fem fantastiske turer etter dine egne interesser. Alle elevene på skolen velger en av disse studieturene helt uavhengig av hvilken linje man går på. Det gir deg sjansen til å bli bedre kjent med elever fra andre klasser og gir alle større valgfrihet. Finn turen som er perfekt for deg!
Bali

In the autumn we travel to Bali and Lombok. This is one of the many highlights of the year! There we will, among other things, experience the jungle, volcano hiking, rafting and surfing. The majors Multisport Adventure and Outdoor Explore travel on this trip together. We will get to know Indonesian culture, have a lot of fellowship and visit humanitarian work on Lombok. On this trip, you will get to experience a lot and at the same time get to better know yourself and the world we live in.
Kenya

In November we travel to Kenya. Here we will see fantastic nature, learn to weave baskets, visit many important places and learn a lot about ourselves!

Morokko

Activity and exciting culture
Join us to colorful Morocco on the west coast of Africa. We will experience the city of Agadir, which is located by the sea - and Marrakech at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. Strong colors, new smells and exciting flavors in a completely different culture! Morocco has beautiful beaches and is known for good conditions for surfing. The trip will have a mix of culture and activities such as beach volleyball, frisbee ultimate and surfing. Among other things, we will experience the Sahara Desert with camel riding. When we travel in November, the climate is mild and pleasant - perfect both for activities and for experiencing and learning about a new country on a large continent.

The Fjord Route
The tour runs from Todalen to Halsa along DNT's "Fjord Route" and offers a rewarding hiking experience through the Northwest's mighty coastal landscape in beautiful autumn colors. The hike goes through different terrain, with some parts being more challenging than others. The stunning views of fjords and mountains can be quite striking.
Mountains, fjords and sea
You will learn how to plan and carry out a multi-day mountain hike and during the trip you will learn more about maps, compasses, orientation and safety in the mountains. We also learn on such a trip a lot about how to work together as a group, and you get to know the other students on the trip well.
The trip lasts seven or eight days and starts at Todalssetra in Aure municipality. From there, we'll visit DNT's cabins Sollia, Storlisetra, Grytbakksetra, Hardbakkhytta, Tverrlia and Jutulbu, before finally ending up at Halsa ferry quay.
Overall, the trip along the Fjord Route combines both physical activity and a chance to appreciate Norway's natural landscapes, making it a memorable part of any trip plan.
Nepal

Nepal is one of the world's most exciting travel destinations! Over the course of 16-18 days we visit Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan, which makes the trip a small round trip. From the border with India with jungle to hiking with views of several mountain peaks over 8000m in the Himalayas, you will see contrasts in nature and gain an insight into what the country has to offer. We spend time on cultural meetings, nature experiences and we visit various projects that work to help vulnerable groups in Nepal. The school is through its project to support work for women's rights in Nepal, among others.
Ghorepani trek and jungle safari
We are going on an eight-day hike in the mountains north of Pokhara. Here you can find some of the world's highest mountains and one of the hiking destinations is Annapurna Basecamp at approx. 4100m. Another fantastic viewpoint is Poon Hill 3210m. From here you can see several famous mountains over 8000m such as Annaputna and Dhaulagiri. During the hike you get close to the people and culture along the way. Here it is inaccessible by car and all goods that need to enter these areas are carried in by people or animals along the same paths that we walk on. After being in the mountains north of Pokhara we head south towards the border with India. More specifically Chitwan National Park with crocodiles, tigers, elephants and rhinos. We are going on a jungle safari to see if we can spot any of these amazing creatures.

Welcome to the study tour "Norway - a round trip"! On this journey, we will explore some of the most significant historical sites in Norway and gain a deeper insight into both Norwegian culture and nature.
Central Norway from north to south
We start our journey with a visit to Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, one of Norway's most impressive cathedrals, which has great significance both religiously and culturally. Here we will have the opportunity to learn about the church's role in Norwegian history, as well as its architectural uniqueness.
After Trondheim, we head for Stiklestad National Cultural Center. This place is central to the understanding of Viking and medieval culture, and we get a comprehensive insight into Norway's history through exciting exhibitions and activities. Here we will learn more about the local traditions and important historical events that have shaped Norway.
Continue south to Ålesund, known for its beautiful Art Nouveau style and stunning seaside location. During our stay in Ålesund, we'll explore the town's history and enjoy the scenic surroundings.

By train through Europe
We pack our backpacks and start the trip with the Rauma Railway from Åndalsnes on our journey towards the Mediterranean. On our journey south we will visit both cities and villages, we will visit some sights along the way and we will meet local people in the places we visit. An important part of this trip is that the students themselves are involved in determining the itinerary and the content of the trip at the different stops. Which cities do we stop in, why do we stop where we stop, what can we learn and experience when we are here. These are questions the students must suggest, talk about and decide in collaboration with the teacher. In other words, here you get the opportunity to learn a lot and experience many countries/places in Europe in an environmentally friendly way.
On our journey south in Europe we will visit several exciting cities. On previous Interrail trips we have visited cities such as Krakow, Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Venice, Florence and Rome. These are cities with a lot to offer. Museums, architecture, delicious food, markets, welcoming people and music of all kinds. During the trip it will also be possible to add historically important places on the route that can be educational and educational. On previous occasions we have visited Auschwitz, among other places.
