For those who want to tell stories through film and step into the world of filmmaking!
On Film & Video, you will learn how to develop ideas and turn them into finished productions. Throughout the year, we work with screenwriting, directing, cinematography, sound, lighting and editing, and you will gain experience with the entire process from the first idea to the finished film. This course is for those who want to work with more narrative filmmaking, whether you are interested in short films, documentaries, music videos or other forms of visual storytelling.
You will learn how to use cameras, lighting equipment, sound equipment and editing software in a practical and thorough way, while also developing an understanding of dramaturgy, scenes, characters and how film affects an audience. You will also learn how to develop photographs in the school’s well-equipped darkroom, giving you an extra understanding of photography, light and the visual craft. Here, you learn by making films, in collaboration with others, and you will have the opportunity to try out different roles throughout the year.
