Cosplay Unleashed

This is the subject for you who want to get a deep dive into what Cosplay is all about, and together with our skilled teachers get a unique development of the craft behind it.

With us, we place great emphasis on your own development, and help you with the tools and techniques you need to develop your own expression. We place as much emphasis on costume as the role-play.

Cosplay is a subject that deals with a lot of craftsmanship and material use. We´ll teach you all about the correct processing of materials such as Worbla, Foam, leather, textile, wood and many more. At the bottom lies a sustainable way of thinking, which is also central to Buskerud Folkehøgskole.

In addition, you learn how to use social media to your advantage as a cosplayer. Photo and video are part of the course so that you can both document your work and show it to an audience. At Buskerud Folkehøgskole, we have several other subjects that CosplayUnleashed will collaborate with, including Romskip, which works with film and photography.

At the school, we have well-equipped workshops for cosplay, both for coarsework and fine work. We have ourown spray room, and in addition the school has its own photo studio which is available to everyone.

During the year, you will have the opportunity to participate in cosplay competitions such as Spillexpo and Kawaiicon. We´ll have several guest teachers with unique knowledge in aspects of cosplay.
