Study tour for the school: The Pulpit Rock, Winter adventure
Experience, explore and learn about outdoor life! Cozy campfires, sunrise over the mountains, sunsets in the sea, boattrips, hikes and skiing in our beautiful nature are experiences in this course.
We focus on the introduction to and learning about autdoor activities and spice this up with more spectacular experiences.
During the year you will get skills in the basic outdoor activities such as; campfires, campsite, map and compass and hikes in different kinds of scenery and seasons. Around the school we have lakes, forests, mountains and coast which provides lots of places to explore close by. In addition you have the chance of taking part in more challenging and spectacular activities once in a while.
We will set up the activities for what you and the class want. Some examples:
Kayaking
Overnight trips by the sea, in the woods and mountains
Hiking from cabin to cabin
Skiing
Boattrips and canoeing to small islands
Fishing
Try out rafting, climbing, Via Ferrata.
You will get a chanse to influence what activities plan, and the possibilities are numerous. We will balanse the combination of adrenalin and exciting experiences with finding peace in nature, feeling calm and being present.
Experiences of the great outdoors, cooperation and mastery are important to us in this course.
We have a number of shorter trips in the region, but we will also travel on two longer course trips in southern Norway. One in September, the other in February-April depending on the content, which we plan together with you and the class.
Iceland - Adventure trip to Saga Island

A trip to Iceland is special. In Iceland you will find a varied, dramatic and unspoiled nature with glaciers, hot springs and mighty waterfalls, which makes the journey a unique experience with memories for life. The exotic nature offers many chances of relaxation and exciting activities.
The Icelandic nature is varied and exotic, and in the scenery you will see traces of how the natural elements have shaped Iceland in the event of volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and erosion. Over eleven percent of the country is covered by magnificent glaciers. The largest is Vatnajökull (8400 square kilometers and 1000 meters thick).
On the trip around the island in a minibus you get to experience both famous tourist destinations, but even more exciting is discovering lesser-known, but equally spectacular and exciting spots. There will be many fantastic photo spots, so bring your camera or mobile. There may be swimming in different hot baths every day, new nature experiences and good stories. We will cook some of the food outside and explore local traditions.

Stord, Bømlo, Dronningstien, Kvinnheradsalpane. Together we will plan longer and shorter excursions to well-known, spectacular destinations, or more unknown but equally wonderful destinations you have not heard of.
Åkrafjorden

Via Ferrata / Ravine. Before the autumn holidays, we take a trip into the Åkrafjorden. Here, as a student, you can choose between the fierce Via Ferrata Church Wall, or the slightly gentler alternative route. If climbing is not your thing, there are opportunities for canyoning or hiking.
SPIEL - ESSEN - GERMANY --> Board Game Convention

In the fall, we travel to the world's largest board game convention in Germany, SPIEL.
It has been held in Essen since 1968. Here, you can see and try pilot projects and games that haven’t hit the stores yet.

When spring comes, the students in the course travel by train on an Interrail trip through Europe. As a student, you will help plan an exciting trip filled with experiences and activities that you and the class decide on.

During the year, we travel to Portugal to recharge with new inspiration, sunshine, and color. Lisbon greets us with vibrant architecture, iconic tiles, creative street art, and a taste of summer. Here, we’ll dive into authentic Portuguese craftsmanship — and of course, throw ourselves into the waves to learn how to surf.
BLI MED - Beredskap USA

Road trip i USA. USA-turen består blant annet besøk til New York og Washington. En unik studietur hvor vi besøker 11. september monumentet samt museet, her vil vi få et større innblikk i hvordan beredskapsressursene samhandlet og virket under terrorangrepet. Videre går turen til USAs hovedstad, Washington hvor vi besøker 1 og 2 verdenskrigmonument og andre spennande serverdigheiter.
Det vil selvfølgelig bli anledning til å bare være turist og shoppe og mye mer.

Europetournaments

The class trip goes to a major tournament in Europe and depends a bit on the student group and what they want. The options could be, for example, IEM Katowice, a CS major, traveling to watch the LEC live, or something else entirely. We’ll figure it out together! In any case, the trip will go to a major European city and offer an incredibly fun experience, great food, lots of activities, and, not least, action-packed memories from the biggest stage in esports!
Our trips are unique experiences that are often difficult to carry out on your own, such as a fjord cruise on a vintage ship in the beautiful Hardangerfjord. You will embark on various trips, both near and far. Some trips are connected to specific courses, while others are shared by the whole school.
The Pulpit Rock

The hike to the mountain plateau Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) is one of Norway's most famous hikes. The marked trail takes you through varied nature and landscapes, sometimes bearing steep uphill, partly on stonebuilt steps and leads you all the way out onto the spectacular viewpoint 604 meters above the Lysefjord.
THE ABYSS
About 604 vertical meters above the Lysefjord, the plateau of Preikestolen is hanging, slightly swaying beyond the abyss. An amazing view as you walk the final meters of the path, which is replaces by a tingling feeling you might never have experienced before, as you step on to the great granite block with nothing but empty air on three of its sides. Enjoy!
Winter adventure

When winter comes, we travel to Hovden for days of skiing and alpine skiing. You can enjoy cross-country skiing in flat terrain, slalom, tobogganing, summit tours, steep hills or very steep hills. Something for all levels!
