Nerd culture is a cherished escape and joyful hobby. Dive deep into your passion, solo or with friends, in the incredible world of nerdom.

Do you want to explore your nerd interests even further? Whether you're into gaming, movies, cosplay, fitness, Pokémon cards, board games, history, outdoor activities, Disney, streaming, Star Wars, LEGO, D&D, manga, or anything else, this is the place for you! Here, you can immerse yourself in what you love and meet others with the same interests. And perhaps, you'll discover another niche within the world of nerd culture.

You'll have the opportunity to nurture your passion while being challenged and introduced to many exciting topics that may have real-world applications in your daily life and future. After a year in this program, as a student, you should have formed an opinion about your place in society, what contributions you can make, and maybe even figured out what you want to pursue further in your life, whether it's work or further studies, within or outside your chosen field.

Valget av studietur har sitt grunnlag i at landet i seg selv kan være spennende innenfor mange av de ulike temaene som er oppnevnt. Det er også et land hvor en er seg selv 100 % og et land hvor det er store variasjoner. 

Los Angeles er en verdensener innenfor film og serieskapning med studioer som Paramount Studioes, og Universal studios hvor det går an å få guidede turer. Her finner en også Netflix sitt hovedkontor. Los Angeles, også kjent som Los Santos i spillverden, er en by med mange inntrykk som vil kunne gi elevene uvante opplevelser. Her vil også Disneyland bli besøkt samt walk of fame, Venice beach og Grifith observatory (astromuseum). Samt mange kjente filmlokasjoner. Det blir mulighet for besøk av VR-senter: Sandbox VR eller Dreamscape. Og Dave & Busters Arcadehall.

Ferden vil gå videre mot Flagstaff hvor en skal få se og oppleve Grand Canyon og den ville vesten.

Las Vegas som har utallige muligheter med blant annet battle bots destruct-a-thon, shootingrange, shelby bilmuseuma, shopping. M.m

Til slutt går turen til San Francisco, en by med en stor variasjon av mennesketyper, her får elevene se Golden Gate bridge, Haight Ashbury, Chinatown, Alcatraz, The Castro District og California Academy of Science.

Elevene må selv kvalifisere seg til å dra på tur, det vil si ordne pass, vaksiner, ESTA (får bistand på skolen til å ordne)

Alpindag i Meråker Alpinsenter

Vi tar med oss hele skolen og leier hele Meråker alipinsenter for oss selv. Her har vi tilgang på verdensklasse skikjøring, brettkjøring og randonee. I tillegg kan du gå langrenn om du ønsker. Vi griller og koser oss i vårsola.

RIB tur i Flatanger

Vi drar til idylliske flatanger å kjører rib og griller!

Bli-kjent-tur i Snåsa

Mandatory: Yes

Price: Included in course price

Duration: 4-5 days

Bli-kjent-turen har akkurat det formålet som navnet antyder. Dette er en tur med tradisjonelt norsk friluftsliv. Turen er på enten fire eller fem dager, alt etter evne og lyst.

Vi deler skolen opp i fire, og tilbyr fire ulike bli kjentturer basert på interesse og kunnskap. De letteste turene har mye vekt på det sosiale og her blir du busset til hyttedøren hvor du tilbringer natten i en seng. På de mer primitive turene går det i toppturer, sjøturer eller kanoturer. Den hardeste turen er utfordrende, men alle som melder seg på klarer å gjennomføre den. Vi bruker både kano, kajakk og kanskje bruksbåter i løpet av denne uken.

Bli kjent turene holdes i nærområdet til skolen og her benytter vi oss av lokale hytter, en kanotur i Skjækerfjella nasjonalpark, en sjøtur med fokus på havfiske med flotte lokaliteter, og siste alternativ er en kanotur i Forra naturreservat.

Vårt mål med disse turene er at man blir godt kjent på kryss og tvers av linjer, avdelinger og at man blir tryggere på medelever og ansatte etter turene.

Hyttetur med hele skolen

Duration: 1 uke

Blåturen er en tur som holdes helt på tampen av året og planlegges kun uker før avreise. Her er det igjen mye vekt på det sosiale med noen overraskelser underveis. Som navnet antyder så er det en BLÅ-tur, altså vil du ikke vite hvor du ender opp, eller hva du skal gjøre.

Norwegian course

We offer a norwegian course for our foreign students. You will learn both to speak, and write in norwegian.

Gymnastics

We train calisthenics, balance and coordination. We'll take some fieldtrips to the gymnastics gym in Levanger, where we learn flips and utilizing the various gymnastics apparatus. Perfect for daredevils and for generalized strength and mobility.

We are passionate about clean, wholesome, and nutritious food. We use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible and serve four daily meals to fuel your active days. Everyone gets equal opportunities: once you enroll, all standard course expenses, as well as study trips in Norway and abroad, are fully covered in your tuition fees.

A Close-Knit Community

You’ll live in smaller residence houses with 9 to 18 students, sharing a living room and kitchen. This is where real folk high school life happens — through conversations, board games, cooking together, and everyday moments.
