We are going on a study trip to the fantastic Costa Rica. Costa Rica is located in Central America with an extensive coastline and world-class tropical fishing. On the east coast, you can find the best tarpon fishing in the world, and on the west coast, we will target the attractive roosterfish. The study trip for the fishing and outdoor life program will take us to the southwest coast of Costa Rica.
Here, we will stay in small wooden cabins along the shoreline, eat local food, and cook meals with freshly caught fish. You can relax in a hammock under the palm trees and experience tropical life at its finest.
We will fish with local guides, along the coastline, in river deltas, and from kayaks. We paddle kayaks both day and night and have the opportunity to experience rich wildlife both on land and in the water.
The species we will be fishing for in Costa Rica include:
- Roosterfish
- Goliath Grouper
- Sierra Mackerel
- Skipjack Tuna
- Barracuda
- Crevalle Jack
- Blue Marlin
- Sailfish
- Mahi Mahi
In Costa Rica, we have landed over 40 different species, with the largest fish being an 80kg Goliath Grouper, a 35kg Roosterfish, a 30kg Stingray, and a 30kg Sailfish.
We fish with fly rods, lure rods, and bait. The choice is yours, based on what you like and dislike. But one thing is certain: you won't catch any fish if your line is on land!
Come fish with us!
