    Do you dream of exploring Europe with a backpack—or suitcase? Focus Europe is the course for anyone who wants to travel, learn and experience the best our continent has to offer—together with other young people!

    What will you experience?

    Together, we will create our own European adventure!

    This course is not only about travelling—it is about experiencing, understanding and growing.

    At Karmøy Folkehøgskule, you choose two study programmes. If you choose Focus Europe, you will also select one of the following:

    🌍 Study Trip – Interrail & Island Hopping in Europe

    At Fokus Europa, we travel far – with meaning and together. 

    🌸 Spring Trip: Interrail & Island Hopping

    In spring, we go on a longer interrail trip through Europe, including island hopping where it fits best – and you help plan the journey!

    • Past stops: Greece, Italy, Turkey, Romania and more

    • Learn travel planning, budgeting and safety

    • Visit a charity project we’ve supported

    • Enjoy beaches, sun and snorkeling

    • Meet people and see new perspectives

    We travel in eco-friendly ways, combine fun with learning, and return with memories for life.

    Theatre & Revue – Interrail Europe

    Price: Included in course price

    Duration: 9-12 dager

    Meals included per day: 2

    Spring Trip: Interrail & Island Hopping

    The highlight of spring is a longer interrail journey—planned together with the students. We travel across Europe and add island hopping wherever it fits.

    Previous destinations: Greece, Italy, Turkey, Romania, and more.

    Da vi har spennende utenlandsturer på begge linjene du som elev går på, har vi valgt å legge fellesturene til vakre og spennende omgivelser i Norge. Vi arrangerer blant annet en super tur til Preikestolen utenfor Stavanger.

    Foruten flere fellesturer setter vi også av tid til fellesarrangementer som:

    • konserter
    • kinoforestillinger
    • seminar
    • foredrag

    Alle elevene ved Karmøy Folkehøgskole deltar på minst 2 utenlandsturer gjennom sine 2 linjer. Enkelte elever deltar på opptil 4 utlandsturer avhengig av hvilke linjer de har valgt. Derfor har vi lagt opp til en felles skoletur til Preikestolen og Stavanger. Skolen ønsker også at våre elever får delta på lokale kulturelle arrangement i skolens nærmiljø, dvs på Haugalandet. Dette er for eksempel spennende konserter, kinoforestillinger, teater og byvandring.

    • Outdoor-activity Sea (Friluftsliv Sjø in Norwegian) including a trip to Croatia with diving classes and island hopping with 2 sailboats
    • Experience Africa including a trip to Tanzania
    • Experience South America including a trip to Brazil & Argentina
    • Bakery & Pastry (Baker & Konditor in Norwegian) including a trip to Paris and Brussel
    • Football Europe Inkluding a trip to Brasil & Argentina
    • Fashion Clothes Design/Redesign including a trip to London and Paris
    • Resit a subject/exam

    Programs choose 2:

    • Multisport including a trip to Europe
    • Focus Japan including a trip to Tokyo & Kyoto in Japan
    • Action Adventure X including a trip to Bali, Indonesia
    • Global Kitchen including a trip to Tokyo & Kyoto in Japan
    • Vocal & Performance including a trip to Australia
    • Backpacking including a trip to Australia
    • Norwegian Language & Living - discover the beauty of Western Norway and interrail Europe
    • Golf Global including a trip to Australia
    • Focus Europe including an interrail in Europe and a trip to Croatia including island hopping in the Adriatic
