Dreaming about creating your own music? At our course Music and Songwriting you'll get to write, play and produce your own music!
Music & Songwriting gives you a full year to explore, develop, and shape your unique musical expression. You’ll use your voice, play various instruments, and create music together with fellow musicians.

- Band projects and group collaboration
- Studio visits and production work
- Live performances and concerts
- Music and art experiences in Edinburgh
- Backstage access to professional music productions
- Stage presence and musical expression
- One-on-one lessons on your main instrument
- Composing and arranging
- Basic music theory
- Discover and develop your musical identity
Throughout the year, you’ll have the chance to dive deeper into vocals, your main instrument, playing in a band, and music production. You’ll record your own song, perform each other’s music at concerts, and work together as a creative community.
In this course, we’ll move away from the pressure to perform – and instead focus on the joy of creating. You'll get to explore lyrics, melodies, and sounds in a safe and supportive environment.
Meet your teacher, Kjetil
Kjetil is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and has a master degree in music. He has years of experience as a music school teacher, band coach, performer and plays in several bands.
