The Jæren beaches are perfect for surfing and kiting, while the Lysefjord features natural wonders like Kjerag and Preikestolen. Nearby, you'll also find Ryfylke, Sirdal, and Røldal—known for their excellent snow conditions. In the school’s local area, there are fantastic hiking trails such as Mosvannet and Sørmarka, along with swimming pools, gyms, and facilities for gymnastics, tennis, climbing, and other sports.
In the city of Stavanger, you can explore the colorful street Fargegata with its cafés, the city square (Torget), and Gamlebyen—the best-preserved wooden house district in Norway. You'll also find Norway’s oldest cathedral, dating back to the 1100s, as well as a concert hall, theater, museums, cinema, and library.
At Solborg, you can choose to specialize in music production, songwriting, film music, performance, literature, sports, outdoor life, art, film production, streaming, lifestyle, sewing your own clothes, drama, and photography. When you choose a subject track, you also become part of a broader section—music, arts & crafts, sports, or film, TV & drama. This allows you to explore other interests alongside your main focus.
