Skolen har en lang tradisjon med musikkteater, noe som gir elevene mulighet til å ta del i et fagmiljø med erfaring fra musikalproduksjoner og scenisk arbeid. Dette er linjen for deg som ønsker å utfordre deg selv i tre disipliner samtidig, og som vil utvikle deg som en komplett scenekunstner.

Året starter med en felles grunntrening i skuespillerteknikk, dans, stemmebruk, improvisasjon og tekstarbeid. Du får utvikle deg innen flere scenekunstuttrykk fordi dagens scenekunstbransje krever allsidighet. Ønsker du å søke videre til høyere teater- eller scenekunstutdanning, forventes det at du behersker flere uttrykksformer og kan samarbeide på tvers av fagområder. Denne bredden gir deg også verdifull kompetanse hvor du trener på kommunikasjon, samarbeid, kreativ problemløsning, selvstendighet og formidling. Dette er sentrale ferdigheter som er etterspurt i yrker også utover scenekanten.

Etter høstferien velger du fordypning i musikal.

For us at Solbakken, it is important that the students experience a wide variety of art and culture! At the end of the school year, all the students go on a study trip to Stockholm! During a short week, we watch theater, musical theater, and dance performances, visit museums, and get to know the cultural life of the city.

We eat together at different restaurants, and you also get some time to explore the city on your own.

All the courses travel together!

Solbakken folkehogskole is a small folk high school with room for approx. 50-60 students. It´s size gives us the opportunity to see each student, with close personal and stage-specific follow-up.

Solbakken Folk High School has four divisions: Acting, Musical, Film Acting and Learn Norwegian. All divisions are based on Solbakken´s more than 30 years of experience of teacing in the performing arts; acting technique, singing, dance, theater, musical theater, monologue / audition technique, vocal use, text writing, yoga, improvisation, film and directing.

You will get an overall insight into stage technical subjects, often in relation to production and projects. We stimulate local cultural work and are active participants in local community events.

Our main study trip goes to Stockholm. Apart from this, we make theater visits to Oslo and Kongsvinger.
