Namdal Folk High School was the first in Norway to offer cosplay as a full-year subject, and we continue to develop the program every year! With us, you’ll work creatively, practically, and independently in large workshops equipped with everything you need to bring your own characters to life.

You don’t need any prior experience – just the desire to learn and create! You’ll receive individual guidance and can specialize in what you enjoy most.

Highlights of the course:

Typical topics include:

Everything is designed to help you develop your skills at your own pace – whether you’re a beginner or an experienced cosplayer.

A year at Namdals folkehogskole in the middle of Norway gives you an opportunity to learn the language, be part of the culture, experience Norwegian nature, and take part in exciting social activities along with other young people. Folkehogskoler challenge you to grow individually, socially and academically. Namdals folkehogskole offers a variety of non-traditional subjects of study. Foreign students will be expected to follow teaching in Norwegian (assisted by English) - but Norwegian language may be offered for them as an intensive course or elective. You may also study and develop different interest areas as electives; including arts, crafts, music, sports, philosophy, photography etc. You live on campus from late August to the middle of May, sharing class and leisure time with Norwegians.
