Mens andre planlegger ferie, planlegger vi eventyr!

På Global Active får du oppleve Australia og Asia, med fokus på kultur, idrett og nye opplevelser. Samtidig får du en variert hverdag hjemme i Norge – full av aktivitet, utfordringer og godt samhold.

Active er linjen for deg som liker ballidrett, men som også har lyst til å prøve mye annet. Vi kombinerer ballspill med friluftsliv, overnattinger ute, fjellturer i den råflotte vestlandsnaturen og en uke på ski.

Vi liker også å gjøre ting som utfordrer oss! Du får blant annet bli med på Mesternes Mester, Challengeuke, «Active gjør ting de ikke kan» og sprint-triathlon.

Her handler det ikke bare om hva du gjør, men hvem du gjør det sammen med. Vi bygger et sterkt lagmiljø, heier på hverandre og skaper minner for livet.

  • Hovedturen er en ca 3 ukers til til andre siden av jordkloden, - til  Australia og Asia.
  • Dette vil være en reise mixet av kultur, idrett, og ikke minst lagbygging og samhold.  
  • Det vil være et fellesopplegg så og si hver dag, samtidig som vi legger til rette for at det blir nok fritid på tur. Du kan glede deg! 
  • Land i Asia kan variere fra år til år, men kanskje det ukjente egentlig er veldig spennende? 
  • Vi har tidligere vært i land som Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Kambodsja, Indonesia ( Bali ). I tillegg går reisen selvsagt til Australia. 
  • For alle våre turer gjelder følgende: Vi tar forbehold om endring av priser som følge av valutakurser, fly- og transporttariffer, samt uforutsette skatter og avgifter som vi ikke selv råder over, eller en urolig verdensituasjon som kan skape prisøkning på kort varsel.

‍Marokko er landet som byr på sterke kontraster – spennende mat, fargerike markeder, vakker natur og en helt annerledes kultur. Her finner du alt fra travle gater og livlige basarer til mektige fjell, ørkenlandskap og flotte strender langs Atlanterhavet. Her venter nye smaker, lukter, mennesker og opplevelser. Ikke rart Marokko fascinerer! 

 

Nordhordland Folk High School is a boarding school located just 20 minutes north of Bergen, surrounded by stunning fjords, mountains, and the raw beauty of Western Norway. With around 200 students every year, we are proud to be the largest folk high school in Norway – and one of the most vibrant!

At our school, there are no exams, no grades, and no stress – only learning through experience, exploration, and community. A folk high school year is a year for discovering who you are, building lifelong friendships, and trying things you’ve never done before.

We offer a wide range of courses (lines) – from travel, sports, music, and dance, to photography, outdoor life, and creative arts. In addition, you can choose from over 120 elective subjects, more than any other folk high school in Norway. That means you can shape your year exactly the way you want it!

Students at Nordhordland get to experience two unforgettable trips abroad – one with the whole school and one with their chosen course. Together, we explore exciting destinations across the world, creating memories that last a lifetime.

Life on campus is just as important as the learning. You’ll live in comfortable dorms, share everyday moments with friends, and enjoy delicious food prepared by our kitchen four times a day. After classes, you can relax in our cozy café, join evening activities, or use our amazing facilities – including a swimming pool, gym, sports hall, climbing wall, football field, and even a frisbee golf course.

Nordhordland is a Christian folk high school, but you don’t need to be Christian to join us. Everyone is welcome – no matter your background, beliefs, or life story. What matters most is curiosity, openness, and a willingness to take part in the community.
