There is no closing date for folk high school applications. Students are continuously admitted either until the courses are filled up, or the school year starts.

Many courses fill up quickly. The earlier you apply, the better your chances are at getting accepted to the school. This especially applies to courses in Norwegian language and culture.

Total sum to pay for the whole school year is NOK 117.500,- This covers school fee, accommodation, four meals a day, trips, and admission fee.

Students from within EU/EØS pay NOK 2.500,-upon admission.
Then you pay each month from August to May, 10 months like this:
Two larger payments in August and in January of NOK 21.500,- The other months you pay NOK 9.000,-

Students from outside EU/EØS must pay all in advance NOK 117.500,- This is required to apply for VISA. It is important to start the process as soon as possible because the VISA application might take several months to come through.
