NORSK - tett på Oslo-pulsen

Do you live abroad and are considering a year at a folk high school in Norway – close to Oslo?

We are launching a special programme with YOU in mind. You can apply for a place in one of our school’s 9 courses; Band, Body & Mind, Dance, Film, Hiphop, Musical, Personal Trainer, Theatre Production or Vocal. In addition, we wish to offer an extra course for those who wish to learn Norwegian or more about living in Norway. This course is particularly suited for beginners or young people with some experience of the language.  

Each week, this group will meet up for a programme focusing on Norwegian language, traditions and culture. We will learn through various methods such as roleplaying, trips to Oslo and outings in nature, and through conversations and the exchange of experiences. This is an excellent opportunity to combine an academic interest with the learning of Norwegian in one school year, while also becoming part of a community of other young people and experiencing a year filled with adventure at a folk high school. 

Our proximity to Oslo gives us a great opportunity to use Norway’s capital city as our classroom. During several periods of the school year, our students are provided with monthly train passes, offering ample opportunities to experience museums, theatres, and in general get inspired by all the opportunities the big city has to offer. 

At Follo Folk High School, all students live on campus. This will therefore provide you with a safe environment with plenty of practical learning as part of everyday life.
